A very common question asked when using any of our products and having to pack them down after a trip to the mountains, or even a weekend camping excursion. Either way, packing your awning or your tent away to travel home will not damage or affect the items in any way. We always suggest pulling all your sleeping gear out of the tent, closing all windows and doors to the tent, then putting the tent away to prepare your trip back home, or to your next destination.
Closing all windows and doors will prevent the outside elements getting inside while folding, tucking and enclosing the travel cover over your tent. From there we recommend addressing the wet awning or tent as soon as possible when you get home or to your next destination. This will help prevent any possible mold, mildew, or any other moisture damage to be created with your products.
In most cases, a dry environment is all that’s needed with some good air flow to help quickly dry out your tent or awning. Not everyone has access to a place to deploy their tent inside while it's on their vehicle to ensure the tent or awning dries out in an efficient time. For some, you will need to consider dismounting your tent to then place it in a dry area to then deploy and air out properly.
